If Mamdani wins, I wonder if he will enact policy along the lines of his father's solutions as promoted in the book Neither Settler Nor Native. This would involve a process of truth and reconciliation that avoids criminal prosecution for war criminals, and a vision of citizenship that encompasses all individuals within a state. As such, he may advocate for a one state solution for Israel where the palestinians forgive their oppressors and conform to a new form of nationalism, thus cementing the progress colonialism has made rather than undoing it.

This may not be what Mamdani intended to convey, but it is my assessment of the inevitability of his proposed solution. In other words it is not a real solution but a new trap. I could be wrong. I read the book a couple of years ago.
